What is The Oceanfront Residence Club?
The Oceanfront Residence Club at Daufuskie Island is a private residence club on the Atlantic Ocean located on the pristine beaches of beautiful Daufuskie Island, South Carolina.

What am I purchasing?
You are purchasing a divided one-thirteenth interest in a fully furnished cottage at The Oceanfront Residence Club. Ownership is evidenced by a fee simple deed which is recorded at the Beaufort County Courthouse.

How many interests will be sold?
Plans are for 29 cottages and villas to be sold with 13 interests in each cottage.

What are the benefits of ownership at The Oceanfront Residence Club?
In addition to owning a spacious three bedroom cottage, owners enjoy to 2 complimentary rounds of golf each day per bedroom occupied, use of two cottage carts while residence, unlimited complimentary tennis, swimming pool, fitness center, and discounts on spa services at The Breathe Spa and the Equestrian Center. Owners also receive unlimited access to the private ferry for access to Daufuskie Island's famous neighbor, Hilton Head Island. Owners have access to concierge services to assist with anything from stocking your refrigerator prior to your arrival, to dinner reservations, sight seeing trips, tee-times and more.

Ownership also includes membership to The Registry Collection, an invitation only collection of exclusive leisure properties and other high-end leisure products and services from around the Globe.

How does owning at The Oceanfront Residence Club differ from Timesharing?
Ownership at The Oceanfront Residence Club differs from timesharing in many ways. The Oceanfront Residence Club is designed for people who can afford a second home, but don't want all of the responsibilities of owning one. It is truly the second home of the 21st Century! The accommodations are larger and more luxurious than timesharing and offer a much higher level of personal service and exclusivity with far more amenities than the typical timesharing condominium properties.

With the flexibility of the floor plan and usage periods at The Oceanfront Residence Club you are not tied to a specific week in a specific unit as you are in most timesharing resorts. Ownership at The Oceanfront Residence Club allows you access to all of the beach cottages with the right to use at any time. How often can I use my Oceanfront Residence Club?

How do I make a reservation?

Do I have to reserve the entire three bedroom cottage for a full week each time?
No - Our unique floor plan allows you to reserve a one, two, three, four, or even six bedroom cottage or villa based on your needs. Also, you may reserve one week, or a partial week depending on how long you can get away. Can I reserve more than one cottageor villa during the same time period?

Can I allow a friend or family member to use my Oceanfront Residence Club?
Yes! Friends and family can use your cottage and have full benefits of ownership while in residence.

Can I rent my interests?
Yes! You can rent them yourself, or take advantage of the rental management services offered by the Hotel's on-site rental company. Rental guests will have access to all of the resorts amenities at a discounted rate.

Can my interest be resold?
Yes! Because you have purchased deeded real estate, you can sell your interest.

Can I finance my purchase?
Yes! We work with local lenders with financing programs specifically in place for The Oceanfront Residence Club. A copy of the current terms is available upon request.

Who establishes the fees?
The fees are established by an owner-elected Board of Directors and its property management company.

What are the costs involved in owning an Oceanfront Residence Club?
Other than the cost of your initial purchase price, the only costs you will incur are your annual fees and departure housekeeping. Included in the annual fee are funds for your resort to be professionally managed, funds for supplies, maintenance, trash removal, landscaping, transportation, legal/accounting, insurance, utilities, cottage carts, cottage refurbishment, Registry Collection membership, property taxes and more. Departure housekeeping is paid only when you use your unit, and the cost varies depending on the number of bedrooms reserved.

Can owners bring their pets with them to The Oceanfront Residence Club?
Dogs are the only pets permitted with their owners. The Oceanfront Residence Club will have a specific pet-designated cottage upon completion. Owners who choose to bring their dog(s) will pay a pet surcharge on the post-occupancy cleaning fee and are responsible for any damages to the cottage caused by their dog(s). A refundable deposit will be collected at check-in.
